At M Spa at the Reserve, we're proud to use the award-winning Cutera® Excel V® laser for all Laser Genesis treatments. The Cutera® Excel V® laser is the most clinically effective long-pulse Nd:YAG laser for treating a variety of conditions, including facial veins, pigmented lesions, wrinkles, and acne.

During the Laser Genesis treatment, a small, handheld device is moved slowly back and forth over the targeted area of skin. As the handpiece moves, the laser’s pulse gently warms the dermis, stimulating the production of collagen. An increase in collagen production and cell turnover can help shrink pores, even skin tone, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles - which is why Laser Genesis is one of the most sought-after anti-aging treatments! 

The heat from the laser also effectively kills bacteria on and under the skin, making it an effective treatment for acne. For those with redness and scarring from acne, Laser Genesis can help the skin heal itself by boosting cell turnover - revealing fresh, clean skin beneath the surface.

The Cutera® Excel V® laser can be used to treat a variety of skin conditions including:

For optimal results, we recommend that most clients receive a series of four to six treatments. Depending on the results you're trying to achieve, our aestheticians might recommend more treatments. 

Laser Genesis is most effective on skin that is lighter and has not had a lot of sun exposure. At a minimum, you should avoid sun exposure 2 weeks before and 1 week after each treatment for best results. 

Results and benefits are seen over time and are cumulative, with optimal results being seen around the six month period. Laser Genesis can provide permanent results when being used to treat scars, but when treating pigment issues, such as rosacea, follow up treatments are recommended every 12 months.

Depending on how well protected from the sun and how consistent the home care regimen is, results can last longer than the intended 12 month period.

Be sure to limit sun exposure after treatment, and always wear a broad spectrum sunscreen, especially on treated areas.
